I Can not automate keys with F1-F12 in Linux Mint

Post by Eduardo » 03 May 2015, 18:31

I am trying to automate a script with the keys ALT + F10 but when I use any of the keys F1 to F12 the program does not work.
Does somebody have the same problem and know how to solve it?

Eduardo wrote a PM to me with this issue. For the record, this was my answer :
I suppose you are using Linux? I just checked, it seems to be a bug in the key system: it doesn't accept/simulate these keys on Linux. Thank you for reporting this. It will be fixed in the next version.

when using quickview, the shortcut keys such as T/B/H/U/ etc do not work.
Clicking the icons work OK

Until this bug is fixed, as a workaround (only in Linux) you might run through Command object the tool xdotool and indirectly drive your F1-F12 keys. In fact I find that xdotool has many features found in Actiona and they can work together.
