Re: new to actiona / order processing

You do not explain what “order forms” you are trying to automate (if that is what you are attempting). And it helps others to know which OS. Probably Windows but I, for one, use Linux. Let us assume that the order form is an Excel spreadheet. In the Actiona GUI the Multi data input widget can be set...

Re: Command Prompt line

There might be simpler methods I have not yet explored but this is what I do .. 1. Create a var containing string .. e.g. cmd = "echo 'Hello World' " 2. Launch terminal window .. in Ubuntu the command is simply gnome-terminal 3. Copy var (string) into clipboard 4. Paste var into gnome-terminal 5. Hi...

Re: For Loop using procedures

Solved this puzzle by using the Loop action with MessageBox in the loop.

Re: For Loop using procedures

I have been studying this too (including French forum) and coincidentally in last few minutes read the same documentation.

Re: trouble with actioncommand

I get more predictable results by using single operators in command. /bin/grep is not a command in actiona. grep is a command. e.g. the command string example you give grep "@" /path/to/jabref.bib | sed "s/@.*{\(.*\),/\1/" | grep -v "@Comment" might be written in python script using subprocess to br...

Re: I Can not automate keys with F1-F12 in Linux Mint

Until this bug is fixed, as a workaround (only in Linux) you might run through Command object the tool xdotool and indirectly drive your F1-F12 keys. In fact I find that xdotool has many features found in Actiona and they can work together.

Re: Open URL and wait until page has finished loading

command: curl
parameters: -Is http://www.google.com | head -n 1

actions flow ..

01 Commands
02 Console
03 Loop

Parse the output (written to a var) to look for "200 OK".

Re: Hot key

In Ubuntu I guess that I would use the app Autokey to map hotkeys to run ...

Code: Select all

actexec myscript.ascr
or run a bash script containing this command.

Re: Opération en tâche de fond

Clearly my experiment with google translate was a failure. https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2018/01/the-shallowness-of-google-translate/551570/ I will revert to writing in my native English. I continue to learn how to apply Actiona in different projects. My understanding is that you in...

Re: Annotate Actions?

It is sometime since I tested this (on Ubuntu) but here is an old test script I found .. note that Detached Command is used and not Command .. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <scriptfile> <settings program="actiona" version="3.9.1" scriptVersion="1.1.0" os="GNU/Linux"/> <actions> <action name...

Re: Annotate Actions?

Really the breakup of 100 actions into "modules" is up to you. You can either have a single *.ascr script containing 100 separate actions as you have now. Or you can create a number of *.ascr scripts and in a separate meta script call these one by one through actexec command. Yet another approach wo...

Re: Mouse Click Issue

Several points here. Where you have a stack of windows ... instead of relying on x,y coordinates you can select the target window/toolbar to bring into focus (to apply actions) by using a Window command. There you can use the title of the window, or its ID. If using title you can use * as wildcard. ...
